Video | What to Look for with Gin Rin Showa Koi

Old man winter is trying to “hold-on” in certain areas of the country, but it’s officially Spring and pond enthusiasts are now focused on new additions for their beautiful ponds.  New pond features for this year could include aquatic plants, waterfalls or new Gin Rin Showa Koi as shown in this video.

In this recent episode of the Pond Digger, Eric Triplett talks to International Koi Judge, Shawn McHenry, about three special Gin Row Showas and how their colors are developing. McHenry talks about possible patterns with the samui — black color — body shape and quality characteristics to look for with koi.
