Rick Smith announces retirement from EasyPro

Publisher’s note: Rick Smith has been the ultimate friend to POND Trade magazine over the years. When I first took over the magazine, he suggested that we assemble an editorial committee to help with topics and sticky situations that have come up here and there. He is also the one who came up with the “Water Artisans of the Year” contest, which has been a huge success. We are so happy for Rick and wish him the best in his retirement! – Lora Lee Gelles

EasyPro Pond Products announces the retirement of Rick Smith, Director of Sales, on June 30, 2024. During his 15 years at EasyPro, Rick first managed EasyPro’s Customer Support Team and then moved on to manage the Sales Team. He has written and published over 30 articles and spoken at many national trade shows. Rick served on the editorial committee for POND Trade Magazine and served as a judge for the publication’s Water Artisan of the Year contest. Rick has written over 40 informative “How-To” articles to help pond owners be successful. These “How-To” articles can be found under the Resources tab at www.easypro.com.

Everyone at EasyPro would like to thank Rick for his contributions and wish him all the best in his retirement. We hope that he enjoys spending time with his family and caring for his 3,600-gallon koi pond. Though Rick will be missed around the office, we’re celebrating this well-earned accomplishment with him!

On a related note, please join us in welcoming Matt Meachum to the EasyPro team as he fills the role of Director of Sales. Matt has been working with Rick for the last month to ensure that EasyPro’s customers have a seamless transition. In previous roles, Matt has demonstrated exceptional leadership and possesses a proven track record of driving sales growth and expanding market reach. His strategic vision has consistently delivered outstanding results, making him the ideal fit for this position. Welcome, Matt!
