Fitz’s Fish Ponds & Polo Reef Win Grand Champion at All-American Koi Show

Published on April 4, 2024

The inaugural All-American Koi Show held in Las Vegas on March 23rd and 24th was an incredible experience for all koi hobbyists that attended and showed koi, but it was extremely special for Fitz’s Fish Ponds’ customer, Andrew Sandler of Polo Reef. Earlier this year Andrew reached out to the FFP and Koi Trips team while in Japan and sourced one of the most beautiful Kohaku the team has brought back to the US. The koi is an 89 cm female Kohaku from Dainichi koi farm with full body and sharp coloring. AJ Mandell, Director of Koi Sales and Brian Fitzsimmons, CEO, knew that she had the potential to be a winner from the minute they spotted her.

Kosuke Saito from Shintaro Koi Farm and Tim Waddington, also a part of the Koi Trips team, flew in to attend the show and see how the koi would do as well. The team is extremely excited and proud to have won Grand Champion and will divulge more about growing and sourcing the Grand Champion in a full article in the July/August 2024 issue of POND Trade.
