Fitz’s Fish Ponds Expands with Two New Retail Locations!

Published on January 9, 2025

Fitz’s Fish Ponds is thrilled to announce a significant expansion with the opening of two new retail locations in Chattanooga, Tennessee and Saddle River, New Jersey. These exciting developments mark a new chapter in FFP’s mission to bring exceptional pond care, products, and expertise to an even wider audience.

When the opportunity arose to acquire Aquanooga/Watergarden LLC., a beloved local pond store in Chattanooga, Brian Fitzsimmons, CEO and Owner of Fitz’s Fish Ponds, saw a chance to preserve its legacy. Known for its dedicated customer base and quality products, Aquanooga was a cornerstone for pond enthusiasts in the region. Fitzsimmons emphasized the importance of continuing to serve the Chattanooga community.

The Saddle River, NJ, location carries a deep historical significance. Formerly known as Waterford Gardens, this property was once the home of William Tricker, a pioneering figure in the commercial water lily industry in the United States. For over a century, Waterford Gardens stood as a landmark in the pond and water garden industry, revered for its innovation and quality. Fitzsimmons remarked, “This location is steeped in history. We plan to restore its greenhouses, ponds, and grounds to honor its past while creating a thriving destination for modern-day pond enthusiasts.”

Both new locations will reflect the quality and selection customers have come to expect from FFP’s existing retail stores. Each will feature an exceptional array of products, including Japanese koi, aquatic plants, and state-of-the-art pond supplies. Fitz’s Fish Ponds invites customers, both new and long-standing, to visit these new locations and experience the dedication, expertise, and passion that define the FFP brand.
