Hardscape North America will bring contractors and industry experts together Oct. 21-23 in Louisville, Kentucky, for technical education focused on practical installation techniques, emerging technologies and profitable service opportunities.
HNA’s 2026 education program is produced by the Concrete Masonry & Hardscapes Association. Topics include natural stone, fire and water features, retaining walls, permeable pavements, manufactured stone veneer and site preparation.
“One of the greatest values of HNA is learning directly from professionals who have spent years solving the same challenges contractors face every day,” said Bob Thomas, president and CEO of CMHA. “These sessions go beyond theory. They’re built around practical experience, proven techniques and lessons that can immediately improve the quality and profitability of projects.”
Among the featured sessions, Bill Hylton will discuss the design, installation and sales opportunities associated with gas fire pits, fireplaces and fire-and-water features. Reid Johnston and Dacia Woodworth will explore the use of natural stone in outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, water features and seating areas.
Additional education will address segmental retaining wall design and construction, maintenance of permeable interlocking concrete pavements, mortar technology for manufactured stone veneer and proper subgrade and aggregate preparation for high-end hardscape installations.
Education will also extend beyond the classroom with six interactive Hardscape Demos presented by Local Roots Landscaping. Installation professionals will demonstrate techniques involving retaining walls, pavers, outdoor kitchens, lighting, water and fire features, and digital tools.
CMHA Installer Courses will be offered Oct. 20-21 at the Hyatt Regency Louisville, providing classroom instruction, training materials and optional certification exams.
HNA is co-located with Equip Expo. Attendees will have to access to to both shows with more than 1,000 exhibits, outdoor demonstration areas and networking opportunities.
