Every pond construction project is unique, but some more so than others as Matt Boring described in March’s Contractor’s Corner. Every quarter, POND magazine picks a winner from the submission and this pond project proved to be quite challenging.

This pond build took place in Austin, Tex. and the pond construction crew had to reverse his workflow to conform to the space limitations. ‘

Here’s the challenge from Matt Boring:

This pond was right up against the neighbor’s fence, so access was extremely limited — impossible from that end, and equally daunting from behind the rock retaining wall that we had just built. There was only one way in and one way out. We were going to have to work in reverse, mixing up the normal order of the steps that we usually follow to build ponds and backing our way out a few feet at a time.

Congratulations to Matt Boring and company, they won $250 worth of Pondliner products!
