George Mihalchick, owner of Ponds by George, started his company in 1988. After working for other companies and working up through the ranks, he soon realized a few things… he didn’t like how he was being treated, and didn’t like how the owners were treating others. He made a promise to himself that he would always go to his team members first before they would come to him. Without a good team, you can’t have a good company! His passion has always been water regardless of constructing patios, or doing landscaping.
While building ponds with his team he opened a retail store so he could educate the public and supply the best products so they could build their own ponds. As his business grew, so did his family. George truly loves creating natural displays and loves being in the outdoors even more. He’s camped, canoed, sailed, hiked all over the country and learned something from each adventure. All of these experiences allow him to continue to create as our tagline suggests... “We Create What Nature Forgot”.
