Born and raised in Northern New Jersey, Emily always found refuge outdoors surrounded by plants, animals, and water. She discovered her passion for gardening while attending college, which led her to working in horticulture after graduation. When she moved back to New Jersey, Emily was introduced to Fitz’s Fish Ponds and found a new path managing the aquatic plant nursery at the Milford Farm. Here, she fell more in love with the world of pond plants and the magic that can be created by a well cultivated water garden. During her first year at FFP, Emily’s role split into two as she also discovered a passion for Fish Health, and began coordinating FFP’s aquatic veterinarian appointments and working with the Fish Health Team. Having found multiple role models within the pond community, she is excited to keep learning and exploring all aspects of pond, koi, and plant keeping!
