Harmony Ponds wins APSP Gold Medal

Harmony Ponds, Inc has been awarded the APSP 2009 Pools & Spas of Distinction Gold Award for a residential water feature installed at a home in Fairfax, VA. The award was presented to the company’s Vice-President, Don Jump, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on January 27, 2010.

The winning pond evokes a natural woodland setting, created by excavating the hillside and carefully emplacing 88 tons of weathered Pennsylvania boulders. Two waterfalls plunge from different areas of the rocks, as if they had come from deep within. The setting is enhanced by carefully chosen foliage and trees, such as the Japanese maples that gracefully shade the rocks. You approach the pond across huge, flat stepping stones leading to a stone slab bridge and a cedar deck that is cantilevered across the pond.
