Ponditat˙ For Humanity 2011

Published on September 27, 2011

**November 2–4**

We all know the power of relaxation from the sounds of a waterfall and the IPPCA Top Gun contractors and other volunteers will design and build PossAbilities an award winning water feature. PossAbilities is a community outreach program developed by the Loma Linda University East Campus (LLUMCEC). Their free membership program is tailored to persons with physical disabilities such as limb amputation, stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, and others.

PossAbilities’ goal is to offer disabled individuals who were born with or have suffered a permanent physical injury a sense of community and provide activities and practical help to integrate them back into life – once again becoming valuable members of our communities.

Studies also show that the soothing sound of running water helps to create a natural environment conducive to healing and wellbeing. For PossAbilities, incorporating a healing environment into the rehabilitation program is a high priority.

Two events to make the memories of a lifetime in the same week. Come join the IPPCA and PossAbilities for a two day humanitarian pond build on November 2nd and 3rd with a ribbon cutting ceremony on November 4th, 2011, and then drop down the hour and a half drive to San Diego for IPPCA’s 7th annual INFO TANZA˙ at the San Diego Convention Center, starting on the 5th and running through the 7th. The Irrigation show with the IPPCA Pond and Waterscape Pavilion will be open from the 6th through the 8th and all INFO TANZA˙ registered attendees will get a free floor pass. Don’t miss history in the making. See you there. Register at https://ippca.com/IF_2011 or call 770-592-9790 TODAY.
