IWGS Annual Symposium 2013

The IWGS Annual Symposium is filled with educational seminars, networking opportunities, great food, and plenty of fun. Speakers from all over the world provide the latest information on waterlilies and all things water gardening. Past Symposia have been held in Canada, China, France, Germany, Thailand, the UK, and the US. View photos from past Symposia.

2013 Symposium: February 2-7, 2013

Our next Symposium is a first-ever Cruise Symposium from February 2-7, 2013. The cruise ship departs from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida USA and travels to Belize City, Belize and Cozumel, Mexico. Click here to download a pdf file with more information about the Cruise Symposium.

Confirmed Speakers Include:

Carlos Magdalena of Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in Surrey, United Kingdom will be speaking on his hybridizing work and happenings at Kew Gardens.

Nopchai Chansilpa from Thailand will be speaking about his waterlily and lotus hybridizing

Brandon McLane of Florida Aquatic Nurseries, Ft Lauderdale, Florida USA will talk about his work with intersubgeneric waterlilies

Scott Wilson–a chemist from Agrium, Inc is coming to speak on polymer-coated fertilizers (PCF) to help us better understand their utility for aquatic plants

Please indicate who you are rooming with. If single occupancy is preferred, please email iwgsmail@gmail.com for arrangements. A registration form will be emailed for all details of travel after purchase of room.
