Have you ever wanted an expanded waterfeature, but felt uneasy about making that dreaded seam in the liner? Don’t feel alone. Countless watershapers experience the same problem. Laying down a leak free seam is a tricky endeavor. After all, that glue and tape used in making a seam is sticky stuff. Once you stick it, it’s stuck! That means you have only one shot in gettin’er done right. If you can make the seam before installing the liner in the hole, the job is a little easier. Just lay out the liner on a garage floor, or drive way. That will provide a large flat area to work. But what about those times you have to make a seam in the field? Let’s face it, sometimes you’re not sure where one piece of liner will attach to another until the 1st piece is installed. Your fears can be eased with a trip to your local lumberyard to purchase a 2” x 12” board. The 2” x 12” now becomes that flat surface you’ve been lookin’ for. It’s portable and you can position it anywhere you need to provide a flat work surface for making that perfect in field seam. Still uneasy about making a seam? Here’s some more advise….practice, practice, practice.
